China Airlines has expanded its network in Japan by launching a new daily service that links Taichung and Okinawa. This addition increases the airline’s total round-trip flights between Taiwan and Japan to over 170 each week. The new route is serviced by an Airbus A321neo, with flight CI310 departing Taichung at 10:00 a.m. and arriving in Okinawa at 12:40 p.m. The return flight, CI311, takes off from Okinawa at 1:40 p.m. and lands in Taichung at 2:10 p.m.
In an effort to further enhance connectivity, China Airlines has announced plans to introduce a second daily service starting August 13. This additional route will be operated by flight CI312, which will leave Taichung at 3:20 p.m. and reach Okinawa at 6:00 p.m. The return journey, flight CI313, is scheduled to depart Okinawa at 7:00 p.m. and arrive back in Taichung at 7:30 p.m.
With the introduction of these new services, China Airlines is set to operate approximately 30 round-trip flights to Okinawa every week, including its existing routes from Taipei and Kaohsiung. The expansion is expected to significantly boost travel options for passengers traveling for both business and leisure purposes.
